8th SeptemberWELCOME EVENING---Our new season starts with a meeting where we welcome members back from the summer breaks. New and potential new members will be introduced to the Club and members in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The usual beverages and biscuits will be available and we shall project dpi images from those members who attended the summer outings and other events.
15th SeptemberNEW CREATIONSPeter Gennard MFIAP EFIAP/pPeter, from Stourbridge, has visited us in the past and we have very much enjoyed his presentations and photography. This is a new talk presented by projected digital images (pdi) and he will bring some prints to display in the room. Peter shows us images that he produced in 2014 and 2015. Peter is an environment portrait photographer using different locations in the UK to find his portraits. Peter began his interest in photography as a teenager but a visit to the Smethwick International exhibition in 1983 was a turning point for him. He joined Smethwick PS and began to enter FIAP approved International Exhibitions gaining AFIAP in 1987 and EFIAP in 1991 and the MFIAP in 1993. He progressed through the rankings to gain the EFIAP/platinum award in 2000. He is a prolific international exhibitor gaining 1835 acceptances in total of which 35% were gained in 39 different countries and from them he has gained 201 awards.
22th September10 IMAGE CHALLENGE SHOW-----Tonight we view the images made by members through the summer in the 10 image challenge. A winner will be selected by vote of all members present for the evening.
19th SeptemberNATURE PHOTOGRAPHY HERE AND THEREBill Hall, AFIAP, DPAGB, ABPEBill is very well known to us as a N&EMPF judge and has entertained us previously with his excellent talks. This is his latest nature talk where in the first part he looks at nature photography in our own gardens, and then takes us around the UK with his images. In the second half we are taken across the Atlantic to see the beautiful nature photography produced by Bill.

6th OctoberPHONE BOXES AND OTHER PROJECTSGeoff Hicks, LRPSGeoff is from Chesterfield and a member of the Clay Cross club. He will talk to us about stimulating our photography by working on projects, both humorous and serious. Geoff was last with us several years ago and proved to be an entertaining as well as instructive speaker.
13th OctoberIMAGINATIONS XTRAGraham Heywood DPAGB EFIAP/p FBPEGraham visits us from Northampton but is well known to some of our members. He is a prolific photographer, has won many awards in both National and International exhibitions with highly creative work and also with sports images. This is his latest talk and will prove inspirational to us.
20th OctoberDPI COMPETITION 1Judge: Vin Scothern DPAGB, AFIAP, BPE3*Our judge has been doing photography since he was 10 years old when his parents bought him a Practika SLR and his dad converted a bathroom to a darkroom. He worked in a camera shop for 3 years then did 10 years as an RAF photographer. For the last 25 years he has been a photographer at Loughborough University. Vin is very much into Exhibition circuits and has numerous awards to his name.
27th OctoberTHE DINGWALL EXHIBITION 2015----We again show the accepted images from this well-known National exhibition. KCC has been showing this exhibition for quite a few years and never been disappointed with what we have seen. Will there be any acceptances by KCC members?

YMG is a group of monochrome photographers who meet in Shipley, Bradford most months of the year and counts amongst its membership some very well-known and qualified photographers. Don’t be fooled by the group name – they welcome colour work by their members.

David owns Studio3 by Severn in Long Eaton at which he runs courses and regular events for groups of photographers. David is part of the N&EMPF Management team and works hard for our region’s photographers, not least in connection with the N&EMPF exhibition. He promises us an interesting and humorous evening celebrating his photography.

1st DecemberAN EVENING WITH DAVID JONESDavid K Jones FRPS, EFIAP, DPAGBDavid visits us from Lichfield. He is a professional photographer who owns a stock library covering all aspects of Africa where he and his Italian wife lived and worked for 30 years. His books, Faces of Kenya and Shepherds of the Desert, have been published in several editions. He has had exhibitions in The Photographers Gallery and the Africa Centre in London, the New Stanley gallery in Nairobi and in L’Espace Archard, Saint Foy Les Lyon, France. In addition, his images of the Kenyatta Conference Centre, Nairobi were shown at the 2015 Venice Biennale. David has contributed to many newspapers and magazines including National Geographic. This evening we have two 45 minute presentations – Africa Continent of Superlatives and Life Beyond the Judges. We look forward to a presentation of top class photography.

This time he takes us through long exposure photography with exposures from ¼ second to 4 seconds and longer. We are all familiar with milky smooth water seascapes but do we know how to achieve them? This talk will show us how and encourage us to try the technique.

He brings his wealth of knowledge and experience to KCC and will have some very useful and constructive comments to make about our prints.
9th FebruaryRPS NATURE GROUP EXHIBITION----This exhibition has been a fixture in our programme for quite a few years now. Althought it is no longer presented by Ashley Franklin we will see some really first class examples of nature photography.

2nd MarchMOMENTS IN TIMEErica Oram CPAGB AIAP BPE2*Erica is a creative photographer from Sheffield. She is a member of GAMMA and Sheffield P.S. She is also a PAGB judge. The talk refers to her limited opportunities for photography, having to weave her photography into the rest of her life, grabbing ‘Moments in Time’ and using a more spontaneous approach to photography, seeing photographic potential in less obvious places. Subject matter is mainly landscape, urban details and street photography. Erica particularly enjoys images which invoke a mood, tell a story or provoke a question. Digital manipulation is used to recreate the image she ‘saw’ when making the initial exposure.

16th March30 YEARS OF CLUB PHOTOGRAPHYNeil Malton, DPAGBNeil is well known in the world of club photography and travels to us from Peterborough to show us his photographic life.
23rd MarchDOUBLE VISION AN AUDIO VISUAL SHOWKeith and Kate BrownAn audio visual variety show which contains award winning sequences. Keith’s serious interest in photography started when he joined Aston & Erdington PS in the 1970s. Initially working in monochrome he moved into AV and gained the FRPS in AV in 1982. He has held shows and workshops all over the UK and abroad but found the transition to digital difficult from slide/tape. However, when he met Kate she helped and assisted him to produce award winning sequences. Kate’s photography started when she was a child being occasionally allowed to use her dad’s SLR. She bought her first SLR when in her 20s but never joined a club. After meeting Keith and entering the club world she now makes her own AVs and has gained the DPAGB in AV and LRPS in stills. Keith holds the APAGB award for services to photography and is a member of the RPS Multimedia Distinctions Panel.

His favourite genres include architecture, street, documentary and landscape photography. Be warned that he is not a huge fan of Goths of Whitby!
13th AprilBATTLE WITH LINCOLN CCJudge: Alan Young, FRPS,EFIAP, BPE2*The home leg of our battle with Lincoln. The Lincoln leg will be during our closed season BUT we will arrange an outing to Lincoln which will allow for photography in the city, an evening pub meal and then attending Lincoln club for their leg and the final result. In last year’s battle KCC lost by 4 points – can we do better that this time by winning?
20th AprilSMART PHONE PHOTOGRAPHYMalcolm Sales, QEP, ABIPP, ARPS, ASWPPOur member Malcolm will instruct us in the delights of making images with our phones. Malcolm has been making these images for several years and has produced excellent work with them. The old adage about always carrying a camera is one we should all follow and, indeed, do when we have our mobile phones with us. Malcolm will show a number of his Smart Phone prints and discuss how he processes his phone images. He will then demonstrate his techniques using his preferred Smart Phone apps.
27th AprilAGM AND PRESENTATION EVENING----A bit of formality and then the presentation of awards. Always sad to reach the end of the season but watch out for the announcement of monthly meetings before we meet again in September
