My friend Jeremy Wade about to get himself frightened at Cadwell Park.
We have had a lot of X1/9's in the family, starting when they first came into the country in 1978. This was the second one we bought, and so much had been written about this wonderful chassis being capable of handling a lot more power than offered by the standard 1300cc motor, we decide to shoe horn an 1800cc Fiat twin cam unit into it.
It was a lot of fun, and after me, my son ran it for a few years, until the dreaded tin worm hit it. Russian steel had sadly caused its demise.
